Restoring Etiquette. Advancing Opportunity. Empowering Youth.

Community Care + Essential Resource Outreach

The Etiquette Series (TES) is a youth empowerment nonprofit advancing etiquette, social arts, mental wellness, and opportunity resources to enact conscious change through community engagement and outreach across the Great Lakes Region, rooted in Detroit and Chicago.

At a time when etiquette, decorum, and intentional developmental training are increasingly absent in many inner-city communities, TES works diligently to restore their cultural relevance and lasting importance. Through accessible, no-cost programming, TES provides youth with the preparation, structure, and exposure necessary to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.

Detroit + Chicago: Community-Rooted, Youth-Led

TES is grounded in the belief that lasting change happens when youth are supported consistently, by programs built with the community, not just brought into it.

In Detroit, we engage youth and families with structured wellness, leadership, and empowerment programming rooted in consistency, accountability, and mentorship.

In Chicago, we partner with local programs and organizations to deliver resources, enrichment, and preparation opportunities that strengthen youth confidence and access.

Across both cities, TES programs are built to be:

  • No-cost and accessible

  • Culturally responsive and community-centered

  • Focused on measurable growth and long-term outcomes

We equip youth to thrive—academically, socially, and professionally.
TES intentionally addresses the critical factors that influence empowerment and long-term success for children and teens by helping dismantle limiting beliefs, strengthen self-esteem, and expand access to meaningful opportunities.

By creating safe, structured, and inspiring environments, TES equips youth with the confidence, discipline, and mindset needed to thrive in post-secondary education, career pathways, and community leadership.

Our Mission

Etiquette is not about perfection—it’s about preparedness. It’s the difference between being overlooked and being ready. It’s the confidence to speak, the discipline to follow through, and the social awareness to lead with integrity.

TES exists to ensure youth in underserved communities have access to the kind of developmental training that too often goes unshared:

  • How to communicate with confidence

  • How to navigate professional and academic environments

  • How to build self-control, resilience, and emotional regulation

  • How to access opportunity—and stay ready for it
